My name is Theresa Kretzmer
Hello! Let me tell you a bit about myself: I have been tutoring for six years, I homeschooled myself and my 8 younger siblings, all of whom have disabilities, and I have a BA in Developmental psychology with minors in Neuroscience and Theology. I have a wide array of interests and passions, such as environmentalism, ecology, community-building, research, painting, and, of course, teaching!
A bit about my tutoring experience: I worked as a home health aide for five years, a nanny for four years, and now I work at an elementary school as a PCA (Personal Care Aide) in the Learning Support department.
I have always had a passion for teaching and I especially enjoy working with disabled and neurodivergent students, who have such wonderful perspectives to offer but who often fall through the cracks of traditional schooling I am neurodivergent myself as I have ADHD. I love coming up with creative ways to teach students that inspire them and grow their passion for learning.
